About this position

PostDoc in (Un) Structural Biology of Wnt Signaling at the Central European Institute of Technology, Masaryk University (CEITEC MU) in Brno, Czech Republic.

The Tripsianes Research Group is recruiting a postdoctoral researcher to study Dishevelled (DVL) and its role as a central hub in Wnt signaling. The project focuses on how conformational plasticity, intrinsic disorder, phosphorylation, partner binding, and liquid-liquid phase separation shape DVL function and signal routing.

Research approaches include structural biology and biophysical techniques such as NMR, X-ray, cryo-EM, FRET, ITC, and BLI, combined with cellular readouts (TopFlash, BRET) and proteomics. Candidates may choose among three open questions related to disorder, phosphorylation hierarchy, and phase separation.

Eligibility highlights: PhD degree (preferably in Life Sciences), strong interest in structural biology and biomolecular NMR, experience in structural biology/biochemistry/molecular biology, English proficiency, and strong communication/teamwork skills. Programming skills are a plus.

Funding and conditions: full-time contract, attractive salary, flexible working hours, access to CEITEC core facilities, professional development support, and a benefits package including paid holiday, medical insurance, meal/kindergarten/pension contributions, and campus childcare.

Application deadline: 23 December 2026. Apply through the e-application with a CV, publication list, motivation letter, and contacts for at least two references.
