About this position
Cleveland Clinic is recruiting Postdoctoral Research Fellows for the Feixiong Cheng Lab and Cleveland Clinic Genome Center in Cleveland, Ohio, United States. The positions support experimental and computational research on Alzheimer's disease, brain health, functional genomics, multi-omics, artificial intelligence, network medicine, systems biology, precision medicine, and drug discovery.
Research activities include investigating disease mechanisms; identifying diagnostic biomarkers and therapeutic targets; generating and analyzing transcriptomic, proteomic, metabolomic, and other molecular profiling data; integrating molecular findings with large-scale patient datasets; and collaborating with physicians, geneticists, and computational and experimental biologists. Potential methods and resources include CRISPR, Prime editing, iPSC neuronal, microglial and astrocyte models, brain organoids, machine learning, deep learning, high-performance computing, and analysis of bulk and single-cell or single-nucleus sequencing data.
Applicants need a PhD or MD/PhD in a relevant area; an MD with relevant laboratory experience may substitute. Computational candidates should have training in bioinformatics, genome science, systems biology, biomedical informatics, computational biology, machine learning, data science, drug discovery, or a related field, plus programming, statistics, and mathematics skills. Research experience, scientific writing experience, and English proficiency are required.
The positions are full time and available immediately. Compensation follows the FY 2026 NIH NRSA Postdoctoral Salary Scale, from $63,480 to $77,076 depending on postdoctoral experience. Fellows join institutionally and federally funded projects and collaborate with Cleveland Clinic and Case Western Reserve University investigators. Applications are accepted until December 31, 2026, or until filled. Apply by emailing the required materials to William Martin at [email protected].
