About this position

Harvard Medical School is recruiting a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Perrimon Lab in Boston, Massachusetts. The lab works at the intersection of functional genomics, systems biology, and intercellular communication, using Drosophila as a model system.

The successful candidate will develop an independent research project within the lab’s scope and contribute to computational and bioinformatics research. The role includes building reusable pipelines for RNA-seq, single-cell RNA-seq, genomics, and proteomics data; developing novel algorithms and data visualization tools; and applying statistical and AI/ML approaches to multi-omics datasets such as genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics.

Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in bioinformatics, computational biology, genetics, computer science, or a related field. Strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar are required, along with experience in analysis pipelines and relevant omics data. Familiarity with machine learning or LLM-based approaches is a plus. The lab welcomes recent PhD graduates interested in related fields and those bringing new technologies or perspectives.

This is a salaried, benefits-eligible position. The appointment is for one year from hire, with possible extension depending on performance, business need, and continued funding. The postdoc is also expected to apply for fellowship funding and contribute to grants, manuscripts, teaching, mentoring, and lab operations.

To apply, submit a CV, cover letter, statement of research, and reference contact information through the ARIeS portal. The application deadline is 2026-12-31.
