A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Koyal Garg, Associate Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Saint Louis University (SLU), St. Louis, MO. The research focus is on biomaterials, tissue engineering, and cellular/molecular biology, with an emphasis on musculoskeletal tissues. This is a two-year, fully funded position with a starting stipend of $65,000 in the first year and a 3% merit increase in the second year, plus benefits and a travel allowance for conference presentations. Candidates should have a Ph.D. or be near completion in Biomedical Engineering or a related field, with experience in musculoskeletal tissues, molecular biology, mammalian cell culture, biomaterials, animal models, histology, and biochemical techniques. A strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals is required.

Responsibilities include conducting independent research, contributing to ongoing projects, mentoring undergraduate and graduate students, upholding ethical research standards, assisting in grant proposals, and maintaining collegiality.
