About this position

The University of Hong Kong invites applications for several full-time Postdoctoral Fellow positions in the Department of Chemistry, with appointments commencing as soon as possible.

The research focuses on inorganic synthesis, particularly organometallic chemistry, including the synthesis of novel precious-metal complexes and their applications in anticancer drug development or transition-metal catalysis. The appointees will work under the supervision of Professor Chi-Ming Che. Enquiries about the duties may be directed to Dr. Lihui Zhu.

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry and demonstrate strong experience in inorganic synthesis, especially organometallic chemistry. Applicants should also show responsibility, strong organizational skills, self-motivation, independence, and fluency in written and spoken English. An outstanding academic record and relevant postdoctoral experience may qualify candidates for appointment at a higher rank.

The appointment is for one year, renewable subject to satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary based on qualifications and experience is provided, along with annual leave and medical benefits.
