About this position
King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) is recruiting a Postdoctoral Fellow in Non-Destructive Testing within the Physical Science and Engineering Division and the ENERCOMP Technology Consortium.
The position focuses on non-destructive testing (NDT) of composite materials, with an emphasis on developing and evaluating advanced inspection technologies for structural health monitoring (SHM). The successful candidate will lead both experimental and computational research, define and execute NDT research tasks, analyze data, publish in peer-reviewed journals, present at conferences, and help advance inspection technologies toward real-world applications.
Research activities include the design, development, execution, and implementation of NDT projects for composite inspection; assessment of emerging scientific principles for NDT inventions and products; evaluation of partner-provided NDT solutions; and development of an internationally recognized platform for NDT and SHM. The role also involves coordinating with KAUST TTO, industrial partners, and academic collaborators, with potential contributions to patent applications.
