Postdoctoral Fellowship in Hydraulic Fracturing Simulation using the Generalized Finite Element Method at University of Campinas University of Campinas in Brazil

CEPETRO, the Center for Energy and Petroleum Studies at the University of Campinas (Unicamp), is advertising a postdoctoral fellowship funded by ExxonMobil in the area of hydraulic fracturing simulation using the Generalized Finite Element Method.

The project is supervised by Prof. Nathan Shauer (FECFAU/Unicamp). This opportunity is especially relevant for candidates with interests in petroleum engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, materials science, and mathematics, particularly those working on computational fracture, numerical methods, and finite element-based simulation.

Eligibility highlights: applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Engineering or a related field, have expertise in numerical methods, and demonstrate advanced English proficiency. The position is full-time and on-site.
