About this position
The Condensed Matter Theory group in the Department of Physics & Astronomy at the University of California, Davis is recruiting a postdoctoral researcher in Theoretical Condensed Matter. The project centers on the execution and design of theoretical studies of many-body phenomena in systems such as quantum materials, quantum magnets, and quantum simulators.
The successful researcher will work under the supervision of Professor Tessa Cookmeyer and will have opportunities to collaborate with other condensed matter faculty at UC Davis. The role is research-focused and sits within an active theoretical environment, with an emphasis on understanding emergent behavior in strongly correlated and related quantum systems.
The postdoctoral appointment is based at UC Davis in Davis, California, and is set to begin in Fall 2027 for an initial two-year term.
