About this position

The Laboratory of Molecular Physiomedicine (LP2M) at Université Côte d'Azur, in collaboration with CNRS, is seeking a talented postdoctoral researcher in immunometabolism and osteoimmunology. The research focuses on understanding how age and gender influence the metabolic properties of osteoclasts—multinucleated myeloid cells involved in bone resorption—and their immune functions. The position is part of the ANR-funded DynamOC program, which aims to decipher the phenotypic and functional heterogeneity of osteoclasts, particularly in relation to age and sex.

The successful candidate will join a dynamic, interdisciplinary team in Nice, France, working closely with the osteoimmunology and inflammation team and the myeloid cells and metabolism team led by Stoyan Ivanov. The research involves preclinical models with targeted metabolic alterations, single-cell biology approaches, in vitro functional assays, imaging, flow cytometry, animal models, metabolic analyses, transcriptomic analysis, and supervision of students. The laboratory offers a stimulating environment with access to state-of-the-art technological platforms and strong clinical and international collaborations.

Applicants should have a doctorate in immunology, cell biology, or a related field, with excellent expertise in monocyte immunology and/or osteoclast biology. Strong skills in animal experimentation, spectral flow cytometry, transcriptomic analysis, and proficiency in scientific English are required. The position is fully funded for one year, with possible extension up to three years, and offers a competitive salary (€3,072–€4,258.87 gross/month), annual leave, RTT, partial transport coverage, and remote working options. The application deadline is March 31, 2026, with a preferred start date in May 2026. Apply via the CNRS job portal.
