About this position

Postdoctoral position in mass spectrometry-based metabolomics is available in Hannes Link’s group at the University of Tübingen, Germany. The full-time position is classified at 100% TV-L E13.

The successful postdoctoral researcher will develop high-throughput LC-MS/MS metabolomics methods and coordinate metabolomics collaborations within the EXC CMFI “Controlling Microbes to Fight Infections” initiative, working with partners in Tübingen and externally. The research combines high-throughput metabolomics with CRISPR screens to investigate how bacteria regulate their metabolism.

Research applications include antimicrobial resistance, natural products, microbiomes and bioprocesses. Candidates should have a PhD in life sciences or chemistry, a passion for science, and an interest in collaborative project coordination. Practical LC-MS/MS metabolomics experience is advantageous but not essential.

To apply, send one PDF application to [email protected]. Application review starts November 16. Further information about the group is available through the linked group website.

Funding details

The position is full-time (100%) and paid at the TV-L E13 level. No additional stipend or tuition information is provided.

What's required

Applicants must hold a PhD in life sciences or chemistry and have a strong passion for science. Hands-on experience with LC-MS/MS metabolomics is desirable but not required. Applicants should enjoy collaborating with many partners and coordinating projects.
