About this position

Queen Mary University of London is recruiting a full-time Postdoctoral Research Associate for a 3.5-year project in the Barts Cancer Institute. The ARIA-funded epiPRIME: epigenetically programmed resilience through innate memory engineering project aims to use epigenetic editing in cell lines and primary cells to induce antiviral immunity in human cells in vivo.

The postdoctoral researcher will conduct laboratory experiments and collaborate with computational epigeneticists, immunologists and chemists. The research combines molecular biology, biochemistry, epigenomics, cell biology, innate immunity and cancer biology.

Applicants should have a PhD or be near completion in a biological subject, substantial laboratory experience, and expertise in cloning, cell lines, primary cells, transfections, RNA, epigenomics methods and NGS library preparation. First-author publications in epigenetics and a strong research record are essential; R or Python experience is advantageous.

The position is based at Queen Mary University of London’s Barts Cancer Institute in London, United Kingdom. The fixed-term role offers £39,187–£52,790 per year, alongside pension, annual leave and professional development benefits. Applications close on 15 November 2026 at 23:55.
