About this position
Northeastern University is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join Professor Tang’s laboratory in Boston. The appointment focuses on experimental research in diffusiophoresis within microfluidic channels.
The researcher will investigate particle dynamics under solute concentration gradients and develop new approaches for manipulating particles in complex geometries. The work combines experimental microfluidics, transport phenomena, particle behavior, and engineering-oriented materials research.
Application-relevant materials will also be examined, including materials with potential uses in drug delivery. The postdoctoral researcher is expected to produce publications in multiple high-impact journals while contributing to the day-to-day operation of the laboratory.
The role includes functional supervision of graduate and undergraduate students, providing an opportunity to work in Northeastern’s interdisciplinary research environment across engineering, physics, materials science, and application-focused microfluidics.
The position is based in Professor Tang’s group at Northeastern University’s Boston campus.
