About this position

The Neural Plasticity Rehabilitation and Movement Dynamics (NERD) Lab at the University of Utah is recruiting a Postdoctoral Research Associate for a full-time, on-site position in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States.

The project focuses on motor recovery after stroke and the development of novel interventions to improve arm and hand function. What's required

Applicants should have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in biomedical engineering, neuroscience, motor control, or kinesiology. Preferred experience includes neurophysiology methods such as electromyography, non-invasive brain stimulation, and spinal reflexes; neuroimaging such as DTI and fMRI; and motor control measures including kinematics and kinetics. Strong data analysis and signal processing skills, strong writing ability, excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, good communication and presentation skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team and independently are required. Flexibility to work around patient schedules and ensure participant safety and protocol adherence is important.
