About this position
This postdoctoral research associate position at Texas A&M AgriLife Research supports the Institute for Advancing Health through Agriculture in College Station, Texas. The role is embedded in a multidisciplinary research environment that connects agriculture, food systems, nutrition, and health across Texas A&M University System programs.
The appointed researcher will scientifically support and help manage “Hungry Minds: Neurophysiological Studies of Nutritional Quality and Cognitive Resources”, a collaborative project between Texas A&M AgriLife Research and USDA-ARS. The study uses a randomized controlled trial design to investigate how dietary intake affects cognitive performance, emotion regulation, and behavioral economics outcomes.
The project brings together behavioral economics and neurophysiological methods with dietary, anthropometric, biochemical, and clinical assessments. The postdoctoral associate will contribute to research study implementation, participant recruitment and scheduling, intervention compliance monitoring, data collection at the HBL and IHA Mobile Health Assessment Centers, data cleaning and documentation, preliminary analysis, online data tool development, and preparation of reports, manuscripts, presentations, and grant proposals.
This is an applied, human-subjects-oriented research role within an institute focused on precision nutrition, responsive agriculture, and healthy living. The position sits within a broader effort to advance healthy and sustainable food systems and address diet-related chronic disease through collaborative research.
