About this position
The University of Texas at Dallas is seeking a postdoctoral researcher for experimental power electronics and power conversion systems at the High Power Density Electronics Center in Richardson, Texas.
The researcher will support existing projects and help develop new projects and proposals involving power electronics circuits and converters for data centers, electrical grids, and energy-storage applications. The work combines new hardware architectures with intelligent control strategies for high-performance power conversion systems.
Research responsibilities include designing and developing power electronics and power converters, integrating experimental converter hardware and circuits, developing firmware and control systems, and conducting hardware testing, troubleshooting, and performance verification with industry partners. The postdoctoral researcher will also document findings and present progress in group meetings and technical conferences.
The role offers an opportunity to work in an applied, collaborative research environment spanning experimental hardware, control, energy systems, battery technologies, and industry-connected power-conversion research.
