About this position
The Arnold School of Public Health at the University of South Carolina is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate for an NIH U01-funded project focused on rural maternal and perinatal health. This opportunity is part of the NIH-funded SBE Consortium, enabling collaboration with investigators across multiple institutions. The USC SBE team includes experts in maternal health services, health policy, telehealth, clinical research, epidemiology, rural health advocacy, psychology, big data, and machine learning.
Applicants should have graduate degrees in health services research, statistics, economics, psychology, computer sciences, public policy, or public health. Expertise in rural maternal health is highly encouraged. The postdoctoral scholar will be expected to lead at least two peer-reviewed publications annually, contribute to collaborative manuscripts and national presentations, and engage in interdisciplinary research spanning clinical, policy, behavioral, and data science domains.
The position is full-time for up to 2 years, with an initial appointment for a minimum of one year and the possibility of reappointment based on performance and funding availability. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience, determined by the individual's experience level. The project is funded by NIH U01, ensuring robust support for research activities.
