The successful researcher will contribute to a project led by Professor Shuping Shi, Chief Investigator and Professor of Economics. The project brings together modern econometric theory and empirical applications across two connected research directions.

The postdoctoral fellow may contribute to one or both directions, engaging with research in applied econometrics, financial economics, statistics, policy evaluation and financial-market analysis. The role is situated in a research-active economics department with expertise spanning applied econometrics, financial economics and econometrics, macroeconomics, behavioural economics and development economics.

The fellow will also have the opportunity to contribute to postgraduate research supervision and participate in academic research communication through conferences and seminars.

The position offers a full-time, four-year postdoctoral appointment at Macquarie University, with an ideal start in the second half of 2027, subject to negotiation.
