Position Summary
We seek a qualified postdoctoral fellow with expertise in cell stress and metabolism to integrate into our vibrant team. Additional expertise in cell biology, immunology, or bioinformatics is preferred. The postdoctoral fellow will study lipid metabolism in murine and patient samples across the tumor microenvironment with the possibility of integration of spatial transcriptomics. At the bench, the postdoc will perform spectral flow cytometry and other immune-based assays on murine and fresh tissue from patients with cancer. The successful candidate will be experienced in mouse models of cancer with metabolic and cell signaling expertise. General laboratory duties will be assigned as needed.
The translational research environment is cooperative and exciting and we are proximal to multiple other high impact clinical research groups that are defining the future of cancer care. Under guidance from the principal investigator and collaborating physicians, and in cooperation with multiple laboratory members and students, the successful applicant will spearhead the research project and other collaborative efforts within Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center ( LCCC ) with ample potential for individual professional growth.
