About this position
The Quantum Cavity Optomechanics group at the Institute for Quantum Computing, University of Waterloo, is hiring postdoctoral researchers for quantum technology research.
One postdoctoral project focuses on developing superconducting circuits operating at micro- and millimeter-wave frequencies. The work is aimed at enabling future quantum technologies, including optomechanical devices and quantum-limited amplifiers.
A second project uses theoretical methods to study interactions between membrane-based mechanical resonators and nitrogen-vacancy centers. The goal is to generate single photons for applications in quantum networks.
These positions offer opportunities to work across quantum cavity optomechanics, superconducting circuits, mechanical resonators, quantum emitters and photonic quantum networking within the Institute for Quantum Computing research environment.
