About this position
The Condensed Matter Theory Group at Argonne National Laboratory is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to work at the interface of quantum information science, condensed matter theory, and the dynamics of quantum systems.
The position is tied in part to an LDRD-funded research effort on simulating aspects of quantum materials on quantum computers. The project is led by researchers across Argonne and the University of Chicago, and the successful candidate will be working within a collaborative environment spanning the Material Science Division at Argonne, the computing directorate CELS, and connected research efforts with the CMT group.
Research leadership and collaboration are associated with Kartiek Agarwal, Ivar Martin, Ashish Clerk, and Christopher Knight, with additional collaboration encouraged with Mike Norman and Hyowon Park in the Argonne CMT group. The opening is therefore well suited to a postdoctoral researcher interested in theory, simulation, and quantum technologies in a national-laboratory setting.
The advert also notes that applicants may be considered for another advertised postdoctoral position, and vice versa.
