About this position
Final call for a Postdoctoral Researcher position in Cyber Policy at the University of Luxembourg, within the Chair in Cyber Policy at the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance. The postdoctoral researcher will work under the supervision of Professor Niovi Vavoula and contribute to research, publications, conference outputs, project meetings, and related activities.
The research focus is centered on cybersecurity law, IT law, law and technology, data protection, artificial intelligence, and broader cyber policy themes such as cyber defence, cybercrime, and cyber sovereignty. Candidates with an interest in public international law and interdisciplinary research are especially encouraged to apply.
Eligibility highlights include a PhD in Law, strong ability to conduct independent postdoctoral research, and fluency in written and spoken English. Knowledge of a second language, preferably French or German, is an advantage. Academic or practical experience in the relevant research areas will strengthen the application.
This is a full-time fixed-term postdoctoral contract for 12 months. The post is based at the Weicker Building in Luxembourg. The annual gross salary is EUR 85,176 for a full-time postdoctoral researcher.
