The Translational Research in Medicine and Complexity Laboratory (TIMC) at Université Grenoble Alpes is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to join the GMCAO team, a pioneer in computer-assisted medical and surgical procedures. This fixed-term position, running from March 1, 2026, to March 31, 2027, focuses on the development of advanced state estimation methods for continuous robots, integrating control theory and artificial intelligence. The research will leverage exteroceptive and proprioceptive measurements, mechanical modeling, and image processing to advance the field of medical robotics.

The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Dr. Taha Chikhaoui (CR CNRS) and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including researchers and clinicians. Experience in project management and the ability to work autonomously are highly valued.
