About this position
The Alinari Lab at The Ohio State University’s Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a postdoctoral scholar to investigate lymphoma and identify therapeutic strategies that trigger potent immunogenic cell death.
The project combines cancer biology, immunology, molecular biology, and translational biomedical research. The scholar will work with mammalian and primary cell cultures, human blood samples, human and murine tissues, and immune cell subtypes. Research activities include immune-cell transfection and lentiviral transduction, CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing, spectral flow cytometry, cell sorting, and molecular assays such as protein, DNA, and RNA isolation, Western blotting, immunoprecipitation, and PCR.
The role also involves processing and analyzing flow-cytometry and sequencing data with statistical software, bacterial transformation and plasmid isolation, and supporting animal studies involving drug delivery, IVIS imaging, and tissue harvesting. The scholar will contribute to manuscript writing and figure preparation, troubleshoot assays independently, develop and document protocols, train staff, and help maintain laboratory equipment and supplies.
Based at the James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute, the postdoctoral scholar will work in a cancer-focused research environment within Ohio State’s academic health center.
