– PhD & POSTDOC POSITIONS OPEN!
Two positions are available in the group of Assoc. Prof. Simon Wall , focusing on ultrafast light-matter interactions and the emergence of new quantum phases in complex materials.
? PhD: CONTROLLING SYMMETRY BREAKING IN QUANTUM MATERIALS
Investigate how light-induced disorder can trigger symmetry breaking and transient quantum phases such as superconductivity. Work at the interface of nonlinear optics, ultrafast spectroscopy, and X-ray free-electron laser science, with experimental work at top international facilities.
?? Deadline: 1 November 2025
