Postdoctoral Fellow
in the laboratory of
Ella Zeldich
, Assistant Professor of Anatomy and Neurobiology. This opportunity sits at the intersection of

The project is supported by a recently awarded
NIH R01
and will investigate how
HMGN1
, a chromosome 21-encoded chromatin-associated protein and alarmin, contributes to neuroinflammatory signaling in the trisomic brain. The work will use
human iPSC-derived cortical organoid models
, genetically engineered isogenic iPSC lines, iPSC-derived microglia, advanced imaging, molecular approaches, and integration of transcriptomic and epigenetic datasets.
The lab is seeking a motivated scientist with training in
neuroscience
,
stem cell biology
,
molecular/cell biology
,
immunology
, or a related field. Experience with iPSCs, organoids, neuroinflammation, glial biology, imaging, or omics approaches would be especially valuable.
