Encarnación Ruiz is a Full Professor at Universidad de Jaén, Spain. Her research focuses on environmental regeneration and the sustainability of mineral resources, particularly related to the biosorption and bioremediation of heavy metals. Recent articles include studies on the biosorption of metal ions, the synthesis of nanoparticles, and the valorization of olive-derived biomass. She is actively exploring the role of olive groves in carbon dioxide removal and innovative processing techniques for olive by-products.
