University College Cork is recruiting two fully funded PhD students and one Postdoctoral Researcher for the SHIELD project, funded by the Frontiers for the Future Programme from Research Ireland. The positions are based in the School of Computer Science & IT and focus on cutting-edge research at the intersection of wireless communication, edge intelligence, and intelligent transportation systems. Research topics include wireless networks and communications, machine learning, computer vision, intelligent sensing, localization, and signal processing. The PhD positions are fully funded for four years, offering a tax-free stipend of €25,000 per annum and tuition contribution. Non-EU candidates may need to apply for a tuition fee waiver. The postdoc position is a full-time, fixed-term contract for 24 months (with possible extension up to 48 months), with a salary range of €46,306 - €52,863 per annum.
