Griffith University is offering a fully funded PhD scholarship in Offshore Hybrid Renewable Energy Systems (OHRES) as part of the Blue Economy CRC. The project focuses on developing a GIS-based spatial decision-support tool to autonomously identify optimal sites for offshore renewable energy systems, including wind, wave, and solar. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary research team and collaborate with industry partners and the Blue Economy CRC. The research is primarily desk-based and aims to assist energy planners and system managers in visually analysing spatial and analytical results. Applicants must have a bachelor's degree with honours or a master's degree with a significant research component, and international applicants must meet English language requirements. The scholarship provides an annual stipend of $38,500 (indexed) for up to 3.5 years, with tuition fees covered for international students.
