Fully funded PhD opportunities are available in Structural Engineering at Adelaide University as part of an Australian Research Council (ARC) Linkage project with Treadwell Group Pty Ltd in Australia. The project focuses on fibre-reinforced polymer (FRP) structural systems, including FRP composite members and bridge panels. Research activities will include material characterisation, full-scale structural testing (such as bending, shear, and fatigue), durability assessment under environmental exposure, and finite element modelling of structural behaviour. This is a strong fit for candidates interested in Civil Engineering , Materials Science , and Mechanical Engineering -oriented structural research. Applicants should have a strong background in structural engineering and finite element modelling, along with an excellent academic and research record. Experience with FRP composites is desirable but not required.
