Postdoc in Robot Learning for Complex Manipulation and Manufacturing with Cobot Arms

Postdoc opportunity in Robotics at the University of Waterloo, Canada The Active & Interactive Robotics Lab (AIR Lab), led by Assistant Professor Yue Hu at the University of Waterloo, is hiring a postdoctoral researcher to work on a collaboration project with industry partners. The research focus is robot learning for complex manipulation tasks in manufacturing using cobot arms . This position is a strong fit for candidates with a background in robot control , machine learning , deep learning , and reinforcement learning applied to robotic systems. Helpful but non-mandatory experience includes computer vision , image processing , sensor fusion , state estimation , teleoperation , and human-robot collaboration . Eligibility highlights: applicants must have completed a PhD in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field by the start date. The position is based at the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada. Candidates currently in Canada or able to relocate on short notice may be prioritized.
