The Purdue Digital Twin Lab at Purdue University is recruiting PhD students and postdoctoral researchers for fully funded positions starting in Spring or Fall 2026. Led by Assistant Professor Ziran Wang, the lab is part of the College of Engineering, which is ranked among the top graduate engineering programs in the U.S. The lab's research focuses on digital twins, autonomous systems, artificial intelligence, and human-autonomy teaming, with applications in autonomous driving, connected systems, and advanced communication technologies. Candidates will have access to state-of-the-art labs, advanced computing resources, and strong industry partnerships with companies such as Waymo, Bosch, Toyota, and Zoox. Applicants should hold an advanced degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, or computer science, and have a strong research background with publications in robotics, computer vision, machine learning, or transportation. The positions are fully funded, covering tuition, stipend or salary, and research costs, and offer opportunities for professional development, conference participation, and global networking. Applications are open and reviewed on a rolling basis. Interested candidates should send their CV to Dr. Ziran Wang at [email protected] and can find more information on the Purdue Digital Twin Lab website.

Purdue University College of Engineering is recruiting postdoctoral researchers and Ph.D. students for the Purdue Digital Twin Lab. The lab’s research spans autonomous driving , robotics , human-autonomy teaming , digital twins , and intelligent transportation systems . Topics include multimodal world foundation models for driving, physical reasoning and action-conditioned planning, world models and vision-language-action models for robotic navigation, human-centered AI that adapts to individual preferences, 3D scene generation and reconstruction, sim-to-real/real-to-sim transfer, mixed reality, and edge/cloud computing for autonomous systems. Applicants with strong research experience or publications in machine learning , computer vision , robotics , or transportation are encouraged to apply. Ph.D. applicants may apply through the Lyles School of Civil and Construction Engineering or the Elmore Family School of Electrical and Computer Engineering , depending on their background and interests. To apply, submit your CV and research interests through the linked form. The post notes that only candidates whose qualifications match the positions will receive a response. A lab website is also provided for more information. This opportunity is located at Purdue University in the United States .
