About this position
Career Awards at the Scientific Interface is a recurring fellowship/scholarship scheme from the Burroughs Wellcome Fund for early-career researchers moving from the physical, mathematical, computational sciences, or engineering into postdoctoral work in the biological sciences.
The award is designed to support researchers who are building an academic research career at the interface of these fields. It is aimed at postdoctoral scientists whose prior training is in areas such as mathematics, physics, chemistry, computer science, statistics, or engineering, and whose current work is in the biological sciences.
The program emphasizes early career development and interdisciplinary transition, supporting candidates as they establish themselves in research across disciplinary boundaries. The award duration is five years and the funding level is $500,000.
This opportunity is administered by the Burroughs Wellcome Fund in the United States and is open to applicants from the United States and Canada.
