Fully funded PhD studentships in Economics are available at Cardiff Business School, Cardiff University through the Wales Graduate School for the Social Sciences (WGSSS) ESRC Doctoral Training Partnership.

The programme is open in Economics and related quantitative areas such as econometrics, financial economics, macroeconomics, microeconomics, and political economics. Funding includes full tuition coverage, an annual tax-free living stipend in line with UKRI minimum rates (currently £21,805 for 2026-27 full-time), and access to a Research Training Support Grant.
