About this position

Griffith University Postdoctoral Fellowship Scheme (GUPF) supports early career researchers to develop and lead their own research projects at Griffith University. The scheme is organised through the university’s internal research grants process and is positioned as a recurring opportunity for researchers at an early stage after PhD completion.

The program is managed across Griffith’s academic groups, including Arts, Education and Law, Griffith Business School, Griffith Health, Griffith Sciences, and the Institute for Glycomics. These groups handle the pre-award process, while the Office for Research administers successful grants after award.

This is a research-funding opportunity rather than a standard project-specific studentship. It is designed to enable independent research activity across the university’s broad disciplinary environment, spanning health, sciences, engineering, and the arts and humanities.

The scheme is framed as a postdoctoral fellowship for researchers developing their own projects within Griffith’s research system.
