Electrophysiology Professors and Supervisors in Canada

This PhD opportunity focuses on developing multimodal foundation models and agentic artificial intelligence for heart rhythm disorders at Imperial College London. The project will combine electrocardiograms, electronic health records, clinical free text and medical imaging. The research will investigate foundation models, multimodal fusion, large language models and agentic AI, including AI co-scientist approaches that support multiple stages of the research process. The student will work within...

This doctoral project is based in the Bok Lab at Lund University and sits within the Lund Vision Group, a collaborative research environment focused on comparative visual science across the animal kingdom. The group brings together several labs and a broad mix of expertise, with work spanning jellyfishes, insects, crustaceans, squids, and vertebrates. The environment combines optics, electrophysiology, theoretical modelling, microscopy, molecular biology, and behavioural experiments to investiga...

Lund University invites applications for a doctoral project on the evolution of colour vision in marine invertebrates. The PhD researcher will investigate whether the firefly squid, a cephalopod, and the alciopid worm, an annelid, have independently evolved colour vision despite living in deep-water, night-time environments. The project will examine how colour vision influences behaviour and whether these species use visual processing circuits and principles comparable to those found in arthropo...
