About this position
The Department of Physics at the University of California, Berkeley is seeking one or more postdoctoral scholars in theoretical condensed matter physics. The position is housed in the Condensed Matter Theory Center, giving the successful candidate the opportunity to join a research environment focused on topics across quantum and classical many-body physics.
The postdoctoral fellow will work closely with members of the theory center and will be free to collaborate with its faculty, including Altman, Lake, Ledwith, Lee, Moore, and Zaletel. The center’s current research interests span nonequilibrium quantum and classical systems, information-theoretic aspects of many-body systems, the physics of learning, quantum materials, numerical methods for simulating quantum many-body systems, and questions at the interface of quantum information and condensed matter physics.
The advert also points applicants to the center’s current faculty and research information, as well as pages for incoming faculty members, reflecting a broad and active condensed matter theory community at Berkeley.
