About this position
The Eddleman Quantum Institute (EQI) at the University of California, Irvine is offering a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in quantum science. The fellowship is designed to support exceptional early-career researchers who have already demonstrated strong accomplishments and who show promise as future leaders in the field.
The project is intentionally broad across EQI’s research areas, and outstanding candidates from across quantum science are encouraged to apply. This year, the fellowship is prioritized for experimentalist candidates. Fellows will work in a collaborative environment that connects EQI and the wider UCI research community, with participation expected from faculty across Physics and Astronomy, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, Materials Science and Engineering, and Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
Applicants must develop a collaborative research plan with at least two EQI faculty co-sponsors, and the fellowship is explicitly intended to advance new collaborations across the institute. In addition to research, the fellow is expected to contribute to EQI educational and outreach activities.
The award is made possible by a gift from Roy Eddleman and supports research that aims to stimulate the discovery of new quantum phenomena and help train future generations of quantum scientists.
