About this position

We are looking for a motivated PhD candidate with strong numerical mathematics and geoscience engineering background through our Project MIRE on Multiscale simulation of deformable fractured and faulted reservoirs The position is a joint opening standing on a long-term collaboration between Prof. Kees Vuik from Delft Institute for Applied Mathematics & myself from the Department of Geoscience & Engineering. In this project, we aim to further develop numerical methods to simulate multiphase flow and mechanics of heterogeneous and fractured porous media for geo - storage of CO2 and H2 , specially within our pEDFM and ADM in-house developed frameworks, as implemented in DARSim simulator. We will collaborate with Dr. Mohammed Al Kobaisi during the course of this MIRE project. Please apply by 15 Jan 2025 through the formal system https://lnkd.in/eWEUNzdy and contact me if you have any questions. Please kindly help us reach the right candidate by reacting to this post.
