This PhD position at Leiden University is focused on the development of anticancer nanomedicines within the Faculty of Science and the Leiden Academic Centre for Drug Research (LACDR). The research involves synthesizing functional amino acids, performing solid phase peptide synthesis, and polymerizing N-carboxyanhydrides to produce precision polymers. These polymers will serve as the foundation for constructing functional nanomedicines, with anticancer drugs covalently attached via disease-responsive bonds. The efficacy of these new systems will be evaluated and compared to conventional antibody drug conjugates (ADCs) within the consortium.
