About this position
The Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) is seeking a PhD student to join a research group working at the intersection of quantum field theory, quantum simulation and quantum complexity in Barcelona, Spain.
The research combines analytical and numerical approaches to quantum field theories and strongly correlated quantum many-body systems. Potential topics include lattice gauge theories and their quantum simulation, quantum complexity, entanglement and non-Gaussianity, tensor networks, numerical many-body methods, quantum dynamics and phase transitions.
The project offers an opportunity to investigate fundamental problems in quantum physics using theoretical analysis alongside computational techniques. Candidates would work in a research environment focused on quantum field theory, quantum many-body systems and emerging quantum simulation methods at BSC.
