About this position
This postdoctoral project is hosted by the Institut Néel within the CNRS, in the QuNES team of the QUEST department. The work sits at the interface of quantum nanoelectronics, low-temperature transport, and condensed-matter physics in a major French research environment in Grenoble.
The research focuses on graphene-based superconducting devices operated in the quantum Hall regime. The postdoc will work on experimental studies ranging from device fabrication to ultra-low-temperature measurements. A central goal is to build encapsulated graphene devices, couple quantum Hall edge channels to superconducting electrodes, and realize Josephson junctions in hybrid superconducting/quantum Hall structures.
Scientific emphasis is placed on understanding the non-conventional superconductivity induced in spin-polarized quantum Hall edge channels. The project uses electrical conductivity measurements to probe how superconducting correlations emerge in these unusual edge states under strong magnetic field.
The experimental work includes graphene exfoliation, encapsulation, contact deposition by electron-beam lithography and metal deposition in standard cleanroom processes, followed by systematic characterization at very low temperature in intense magnetic fields.
The postdoctoral researcher will join a well-established institute with broad expertise in fundamental research in condensed matter, within an environment that combines physics with interdisciplinary links to chemistry, engineering, and biology.
