About this position

One post-doctoral research fellowship is available at CIBIO-InBIO, within Associação BIOPOLIS, to join the RECONCILE project. The project aims to explore how high nature value farmlands and rewilding can be reconciled to strengthen biodiversity conservation, ecosystem services, and fire prevention in agricultural landscapes.

The fellowship is hosted by CIBIO-InBIO and linked to a wider Portuguese and European funding context, with support from national and EU sources. The successful researcher will work on research activities focused on social-ecological systems and landscape-scale environmental questions, contributing to the project’s scientific goals over an expected 1-year period.

The position is based at Associação BIOPOLIS in Vila do Conde, Portugal. The advert indicates a strong research environment at CIBIO-InBIO, with work centred on biodiversity, ecosystem services, restoration, fire-pattern analysis, and scenario modelling in agricultural landscapes.
