About this position
We’re sharing a 2-year postdoc opening at Aarhus University in bioimaging, extracellular vesicles, and single-particle tracking. The project, titled “From Genesis to Terminus: Rainbow-Painting of Extracellular Vesicles for Single-Particle Tracking”, is funded by Villum Fonden through the Villum Experiment grant.
The successful candidate will be trained in the extracellular vesicle field and gain hands-on experience with genetic engineering of extracellular vesicles, including transient/stable transgenesis of zebrafish, live embryo imaging, and super-resolution microscopy of cells. The post emphasizes bioimaging and image analysis, and experience with super-resolution microscopy is highlighted as especially valuable.
Position details:
• Duration: 2 years
• Start: earliest 1 January 2027
• Workplace: Aarhus University, Denmark
• Funding: fully supported by Villum Fonden grant funding
Who should apply: candidates with a strong background in bioimaging and image analysis, and ideally prior experience in super-resolution microscopy. The project sits at the intersection of biology, biomedical engineering, nanoscience, and advanced microscopy.
