About this position
Postdoctoral Fellow in Neuroscience at Miami University of Ohio, working in Dr. Anna Radke’s behavioral neuroscience lab in the Psychology Department.
The fellow will contribute to research that uses rodent models to investigate the neural circuits underlying emotional and motivated behaviors, with a particular emphasis on the biological bases of sex differences in alcohol drinking behaviors in mice. The role combines independent research with collaborative work in a team that includes graduate and undergraduate students.
Day-to-day work includes project management and technical support for ongoing studies, development of new research projects aligned with the lab’s funded work, and contribution to grant applications. The postdoctoral fellow will carry out rodent behavioral testing, surgical and other technical procedures, build data collection workflows, conduct analyses, and produce summaries and technical reports. The position also involves managing the rodent colony, supporting animal care before and after procedures, reporting health concerns to veterinary staff, and helping ensure compliance with research protocols and SOPs.
