About this position
The University of Arizona Department of Psychology is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate for an interdisciplinary project examining aging, Alzheimer's disease risk, well-being, autobiographical thoughts, and the brain's default network.
The postdoctoral researcher will contribute to blood draws for genetic and biomarker testing, in-lab experimental behavioral testing, naturalistic cognitive assessment using smartphone app technology, and functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). The role includes close involvement in neuroimaging data collection, preprocessing, and analysis, including resting-state functional connectivity and multidimensional brain-behavior analyses.
The researcher will work with both newly collected and existing datasets, allowing immediate engagement with analysis activities. Responsibilities include collaborating with graduate students and undergraduate research assistants, contributing to the overall data analytic plan, and taking the lead on presentations and publications arising from the project.
The position is based in the Department of Psychology within the University of Arizona's School of Mind, Brain, and Behavior and College of Science. The department supports interdisciplinary collaboration across Psychology, Neuroscience, Cognitive Science, Speech, Language and Hearing Science, and other academic units. This environment brings together researchers studying the mind and brain, development and aging, mental health, and related areas of psychological science.
