About this position
The Multimodal Cognitive Neuroscience Laboratory at Washington University School of Medicine is recruiting a postdoctoral research associate to study the neural and computational mechanisms underlying visual perception and social cognition. The project combines advanced fMRI and/or human intracranial electrophysiology with behavioral experimentation, computational modeling, and multimodal data analysis.
The successful candidate will work in the Neuroimaging Labs Research Center within the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology and join the Cao Lab, which has access to 3T and 7T MRI resources and a highly collaborative neuroscience community. The role is designed for a motivated researcher who wants to develop innovative projects, build analytical methods, and strengthen an independent scientific profile while contributing to an interdisciplinary team.
Under the supervision of Dr. Cao, the postdoc will design and perform experiments, analyze and interpret neuroimaging, electrophysiological, behavioral, and computational data, and contribute manuscripts, presentations, and funding applications. The position also includes research record-keeping, collaboration with other researchers, and mentoring students or research staff as appropriate.
