About this position
Birkbeck, University of London is recruiting a postdoctoral researcher to join the Birkbeck Centre for Brain and Cognitive Development (CBCD). The project investigates spontaneous movement to music in toddlers under two years of age, asking what may cause these early movement responses.
The research combines behavioural testing with electroencephalography (EEG) methods. The postdoctoral researcher will contribute to work on early cognitive, perceptual and social development, examining how young children respond to music and movement. The project is led by Professors Adam Tierney, Denis Mareschal and Elisa Raffaella Ferre.
The researcher will be based in the CBCD, a multidisciplinary centre bringing together around 50 researchers working across social, cognitive and perceptual development. The centre is supported by facilities including Babylab and Toddlerlab, providing an environment for research with infants and toddlers.
