About
Joerg Buescher is the Head of the Metabolomics Core Facility at the Max-Planck-Institut für Immunbiologie und Epigenetik in Germany. His research focuses on the metabolic aspects of immunology and neurobiology, as evidenced by his recent work on gut microbiota-derived metabolites and their effects on CNS-GVHD, as well as the interplay between microglia and neurons. Additionally, he investigates the role of metabolism in hematology and the critical functions of peroxisomes in immune cell survival.
