About this position
The ARS Île-de-France research year is a one-year funded opportunity that lets eligible clinicians step away from routine specialist training to carry out research. It is run by the Île-de-France Regional Health Agency and is designed for junior doctors, pharmacy assistants, and dentists in specialist training who want to develop a research profile and progress toward higher qualifications.
Selected participants complete their project in a recognised French research laboratory affiliated to a university, or in an accredited foreign laboratory of equivalent standing. The scheme is framed as a research year within specialist training, giving participants dedicated time to work on a project in a supervised academic environment rather than continuing their usual clinical duties.
The advert positions the fellowship as a route into advanced academic training and research development, with the year intended to support work toward a Master’s degree, a PhD, or an equivalent qualification. It is an opportunity for health professionals in the Île-de-France region to gain structured research experience within the French academic health system.
