About this position

Bienvenüe+ is a 2-year postdoctoral fellowship programme in Brittany, France, coordinated by Région Bretagne and co-funded through Horizon Europe MSCA-COFUND. It supports high-profile postdoctoral researchers to carry out projects in Breton laboratories across a wide range of disciplines.

The call is open to researchers from many fields, including anthropology, architecture, arts, astronomy, biological sciences, chemistry, communication sciences, computer science, economics, educational sciences, engineering, environmental science, geography, geosciences, history, information science, law, language sciences, management sciences, mathematics, neuroscience, philosophy, medical sciences, political sciences, physics, and more. Projects with a social sciences approach are especially welcome.

Eligible fellows must hold a PhD degree (or equivalent). There is no minimum or maximum experience limit after the thesis defense. Applicants must also satisfy the MSCA mobility rule: they must not have lived or carried out their main activity in France for more than 12 months in the three years before the deadline.

Funding is attractive and includes a 24-month fellowship, an estimated net salary of 2,711 EUR/month, a 200 EUR gross mobility allowance, a family allowance up to 299 EUR gross, full French social security, and a 1,000 EUR/month research, networking and training contribution. Fellows also receive training, transferable-skills support, and relocation assistance in Brittany.

Applicants must first identify a Breton researcher who agrees to supervise the project if selected. Only research units located in Brittany are eligible to host fellows. The upcoming call opens on 1 December 2026 and closes on 16 February 2027 at 12:00 (Europe/Paris). Fellowships are expected to start between September 2027 and January 2028.
